On the day following the commemoration of the Resurrection of Our Lord, with deep sadness and reverence, we learn the news of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, a man of great faith, compassion and dedication.
On behalf of the people of Sabourg and the Clergy of the Monastic Order of Sabourg, we express His deepest condolences to the Holy See, members of the clergy and all the faithful of the Roman Catholic Church.
Pope Francis has left an indelible mark on the history of the Church, carrying forward with courage and love a message of peace, justice and mercy. His life of service and his ability to unite people of different faiths are a shining example of humanity and hope.
The Sabourg Clergy joins in prayer with the Clergy of the Roman Catholic Church and all those who have found spiritual guidance in Pope Francis. May his soul find peace in eternal rest, and may his legacy continue to inspire people to live with love and compassion toward their neighbor.
