Priory of

Saint Michel

The Priory of San Michele, formerly the Priory of the Chaplaincy of San Michele in Ventimiglia, was the seat of the enactment of the first Constitution of the Principality of Sabourg, drafted by Father Giacomo Costa and adopted by the Monks of Sabourg in 1261.
The Priory had a vast territory, identified in several Grange, or hamlets, and is now the economic capital of Sabourg: the Grange.
Given its geographical position, between the Ligurian Sea and the Roya River, the Grange is well suited to the economic development of the Principality of Sabourg, and, thanks to an initiative strongly supported by the Prince, it will be the site of a technological hub for nanotechnology and artificial intelligence that will host Italian and foreign companies eager to develop cutting-edge technological innovations. the identification of the spaces necessary for industrial development is already being studied by ASEPAS.
A conference to present the project will be held by 2026. numerous academic, educational and sporting projects will also be supported for a strategic relaunch of the territory in collaboration with the Italian administrative authorities.
Furthermore, as the headquarters of the Sabourg Aero Club and the Sabourg Yacht Club, it will host high-level events in both nautical and civil aviation.
The Priory of San Michele interacts with that of Seborga in order to bring together history, spirituality and technological innovation.
